From 3:Sec to prinux:
Welcome!

Your business card solution is moving: from 3:Sec to prinux. We would be delighted if your company would join us in this transition and ask that you give us your consent to transfer your templates and company details.

By giving your consent, you are not committing to anything—you are simply allowing us to set up a business card store for your company, free of charge and with no obligation, that includes the same templates you have been using on 3sec. You can then take your time to test it out and decide for yourself whether you want to continue using prinux or not.

In the FAQs at the bottom of this page, you’ll find answers to many questions you may have about the transition. But of course, you can also contact us directly at any time—by phone at +43 1 353 2280 or by email at info@prinux.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

FAQs on Moving Your Business Card Store from 3:Sec to prinux

General Questions

Why is prinux contacting me?

Your business card platform is moving to prinux, one of the leading business card providers in the DACH region. More specifically, prinux is taking over 3:Sec’s entire business card operations and will thus become—with your consent, of course—your new provider for these products.

Who or what is prinux?

prinux is one of the most experienced and largest online providers of business cards for companies in the DACH region.
The company is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, where production takes place, and it ships worldwide.
Currently (2026), prinux counts approximately 1,600 companies and organizations among its customers.
prinux is part of DPI-Holding, a family-owned group of Austrian communications and printing companies.

Where did prinux get my contact information?

We, prinux GmbH, have contractually taken over the business card division from 3:Sec. In doing so, we paid particular attention to the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation). We received your email address from 3:Sec as a contact person. The legal basis for this is provided by the GDPR (the “legitimate interest” under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). We have not received any “sensitive” data from you as defined by the GDPR.

What happened to 3:Sec? Why can't I place orders with 3:Sec anymore?

3:Sec has withdrawn from the European market because it was no longer able to supply customers at a profit.

How much longer can I place orders with 3:Sec?

Until July 31, 2026.
Starting August 1, 2028, you will only be able to place orders through prinux.
To ensure uninterrupted service, we ask that you give us your approval to migrate your business card shop at least 1 to 2 weeks before this date.

When can I start placing orders with prinux?

As soon as we receive your approval, we will begin setting up your store using your templates. This takes approximately 3 to 7 business days, plus any time needed for your approval, corrections, etc.
Afterward, you or authorized users at your company will be able to place orders with prinux.

Am I taking on any obligations if I agree to the change?

You are under no obligation.
prinux will, with your consent, simply set up the online store for your business and provide the templates you last used. You can then browse the store with no obligation and order business cards as needed—or choose not to.

What are the specific details of the transition process?

We would be happy to schedule a personal video call with you. You have already received a link to book an appointment via email. However, you can also call us at any time (+43 1 3532280) or send an email to info@prinux.com to discuss any questions directly or schedule a video call.

How long does it take to transfer our templates from 3:sec to prinux?

Depending on the number of templates you’ve used most recently, the migration will take approximately 3 to 7 business days, starting from the date you approve the transfer of your business card shop. In addition, there may be a few more days required for your approval, for implementing requested corrections, or for setting up additional templates.

Who is my contact person at prinux?

Your personal contact person will get in touch with you or has already done so. Feel free to call us anytime (+43 1 353 2280) or send us an email (info@prinux.com).

What should I do if our company doesn't want to switch to prinux?

If you don’t want to work with prinux, that’s, of course, your prerogative. But we ask that you give us a chance—we won’t let you down!
If you still don’t want to test prinux, you don’t need to do anything. However, it would be a great help to us if you could let us know.

Where can I find more FAQs about prinux?

On our general FAQ page: https://www.prinux.com/faq

Orders

Where should I order our business cards in the future?

At prinux. We’ll set up a free online store for you. It’s more modern and faster than the one from 3:Sec. It’s also very easy to use and quick to learn.
You’ll receive the web address and login credentials for your store approximately 3 to 7 business days after you agree to transfer your store from 3:Sec to prinux.

Where does prinux get our business card templates?

The data for the templates is transferred directly from 3:Sec to prinux; you don’t need to worry about it.
You will receive the web address and login credentials for your store approximately 3 to 7 business days after you approve the transfer of your store from 3:Sec to prinux.

How does the ordering process work?

Your free online store from prinux will work similarly to the one from 3:Sec and will include all the templates you’ve used most recently. However, the user interface will be slightly different, though it is largely self-explanatory. You can also find details about the ordering process here on this FAQ page.
We can simplify things even further for you (e.g., combine multiple templates into a single, more flexible template, add text blocks, automatically format phone numbers, and much more). We’d be happy to show you these options during a personal setup call.

Who is authorized to place orders in the new prinux business card shop?

The same ordering permissions as those used for 3:Sec will be set up. Once your new prinux shop is ready, authorized users will receive an email invitation containing their login credentials.

How does QR code generation work?

If your business card contains a QR code, it will be generated automatically and in real time in the prinux configurator. You can check the content right on the screen by scanning the code with your smartphone.
The code typically contains the following information: First name, last name, academic title, job title/position, landline number, cell phone number, email address, company name, department, mailing address, and website address.
If you would like to make any changes here, please let us know by emailing info@prinux.com.

How do I select billing and shipping addresses?

At 3:Sec, you enter your billing and shipping addresses together before starting the configuration; at prinux, they are entered separately —first the billing address, then the shipping address—and only after the configuration is complete:
You add the fully configured business card to your shopping cart and then select the billing and shipping addresses separately.
The prinux store will save these selections for your next order, so you won’t have to re-enter them each time.
Billing addresses can only be created or modified by prinux—if you’d like to make changes, please send an email to info@prinux.com.
You can also create new shipping addresses yourself.

Where can I enter my own cost center numbers?

You enter the cost center when reviewing the business card and selecting the quantity (second screen after configuration).

If you would like to require the entry of a cost center (or specify a particular format for the cost center), please let us know (info@prinux.com); we will be happy to configure this feature according to your preferences.

Can I also upload ready-made PDFs?

Yes. If you don’t already have one, we’d be happy to create a custom template for you in your prinux shop. You can then quickly and easily upload one or more types of business cards.
Just let us know if you’d like to use this option (info@prinux.com). It’s important that the uploaded PDF files meet the required dimensions and specifications. You can find the relevant specifications here: https://www.prinux.com/wp-content/uploads/delightful-downloads/2026/06/prinux_Druckdateien_fuer_Visitenkarten_2026.pdf

Can I also place an order by email?

As a general rule, orders can only be placed through our online portal, since manually processed orders would incur additional costs that we do not want to pass on to our customers. For larger orders, you can also upload Excel files. We’d be happy to enable this feature for you. You can find more information here: https://www.prinux.com/neu-excel-upload-fuer-grossbestellungen-von-visitenkarten/

Can I set up an internal approval workflow for my orders?

Yes, there are several options for this; please also see our video: https://www.prinux.com/freigabe/
We’d be happy to enable this feature for you.
In addition, we can set up an automated approval process for you so that all orders can be reviewed by your HR department, for example, before they go into production. Please contact us so we can implement the best solution for you.

Can I access my previous orders with 3:Sec, for example, to place a repeat order?

No. While prinux has imported the template data (and, in some cases, data for custom orders) from 3:Sec, it has not imported data for individual orders.
Therefore, you or your colleagues will need to re-enter the content for the business cards once when placing your first order through prinux. Starting with your second order through prinux, however, you’ll be able to access your order history and reorder cards with just a few clicks.

Business cards

Will our printed business cards look different? Will the quality change?

3:Sec produced your business cards using an HP Indigo press. Prinux uses exactly the same technology (digital offset printing on HP Indigo), and in fact employs an even more advanced machine than 3:Sec. We can therefore provide you with at least the same print quality as before—and in some cases, it’s even better.

What should I do if I'm still not satisfied with the new cards?

In a few rare cases, an error may occur during the transfer of the templates, or your card may look different than before for other reasons. These discrepancies can usually be corrected without any problems. The best thing to do is simply give us a call (+43 1 3532280) so we can discuss the issue and arrange for a free reprint.

Can we have a sample?

Yes, we’d be happy to provide you with a free sample of your business cards. Simply give us a call at (+43 1 3532280) or send an informal request for your sample to info@prinux.com (please let us know which template you’d like us to use).

What business card templates are available on prinux?

prinux will set up all the business card templates for you that you have used on 3:Sec over the past two years. If you cannot find the templates you need in the prinux catalog, it may be that you have not placed any orders using those templates for more than two years. In that case, please send an email with an image or a PDF of the required template to info@prinux.com so that we can set it up for you.

What can I do if my templates weren't imported correctly or if a template is missing?

Simply send an email with an image or a PDF of the required template, or with your requested changes, to info@prinux.com.

Can I have templates modified or created from scratch at prinux?

Yes, with prinux, you can have as many templates set up as you like—and it’s free. Just send a printable PDF of the template you need to info@prinux.com.

Can I still order EZ-Packs along with my other items?

Yes, if you used this option on 3:Sec, it will also be available to you in the new prinux store.

What new options (e.g., for finishing, different types of paper, etc.) does prinux offer?

Want to redesign your business cards and have them produced with a premium finish? Great! prinux offers a whole range of options to make your business cards truly special:
Specialty papers, 3D varnishes, embossing, hot foil stamping, edge coloring, spot colors, white printing, and much more.
You can find an overview here: https://www.prinux.com/besondere-visitenkarten/
We’d be happy to provide you with a no-obligation quote.

Delivery

Will the delivery time change?

Yes, delivery times will be extended by 1 to 3 business days. Shipping costs were a major expense for 3:Sec. In order to keep prices down, we unfortunately have to accept slightly longer delivery times.

Which shipping carriers does prinux use?

We ship your cards via DHL Standard in Germany, via Austrian Post in Austria, and via DHL Parcel in the rest of the EU and Switzerland.

Costs, prices, invoices, payments

How much does it cost to have my templates redesigned at prinux?

Setting up your new templates with prinux is completely free and non-binding.

Will I have to pay more now? Will the prices for business cards change?

The prices you paid for business cards at 3:Sec will remain the same for at least one year.

Do we need to sign a contract with prinux in order to continue placing orders?

Not from our perspective. The legal basis for each order is the order placed via our online portal; no long-term commitment is established. If you would nevertheless like to enter into a formal supply agreement with prinux, please contact us.
However, we will in any case require a DPA (Data Processing Agreement in accordance with the GDPR), as we process your employees’ personal data. We will send you a draft of this in due course.

How does billing work, and what payment options are available?

We generally ship to all former 3:Sec customers on open account, meaning no credit card or prepayment is required.
Billing is handled entirely according to your preferences—for example, a monthly consolidated invoice (grouped by company, location, cost center, purchaser, etc.) or individual invoices per order… just let us know what works best for you.
Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll use the same billing method you used with 3:Sec.
